The TubaMeisters
Al Tapia (euphonium, vocals) — Al is a retired U.S. Army Band musician and bandmaster, a career which included two full tours in Germany. Nowadays, his life is filled with musical activity. We he is not performing as one of the TubaMeisters, Al conducts several area concert bands.
Al Marroquin (tuba) — The newest TubaMeister, Al is a retired U.S. Army Band musician and performs with the San Antonio Symphonic Band.
Ray Grim (tuba, vocals, arranger) — In addition to performing on stage, Ray manages the group and writes the majority of the band’s arrangements. He is also a member of the San Antonio Wind Symphony.
Richard Wallace (euphonium, tuba) — As a member of the TubaMeisters, Richard is usually busy laying down a rich bass line. However, when the need arises, he is also able to play euphonium. Richard also conducts the Alzafar Shrine Band and has made several Band and Bible missions to Africa.
